Hot Laps Quad, surface lifts and tubing park are scheduled to open Thursday, November 26, 2020

PARK CITY, Utah – November 25, 2020 — Woodward Park City is excited to announce the opening date for its outdoor lift and tubing operations on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2020. Additional details on 2020-21 activities are included below, including information on opening terrain, tickets and access products, ski and snowboard lessons, and food and beverage services. Woodward Park City has designed operating plans with COVID-19 safety practices and protocols as the number one priority.

In response to COVID-19 safety precautions, Woodward Park City offers limited capacity for both indoor and outdoor activities. Masks are required for all guests to the property. Guests are encouraged to pre-purchase indoor and outdoor sessions in advance at woodwardparkcity.com for the best availability and pricing. Tubing session tickets purchased in advance will be available through an on-site contactless kiosk. Lift tickets providing access to the Hot Laps Quad lift will be sold in three or four-hour sessions. Also, Woodward offers contactless food and beverage orders for its two food and beverage outlets.

There are different skating styles, and each style requires the best skateboard wheels. The size and Durometer determine the choice here. This means if you love to power slide and the skateboard you’re using has wheels that are meant for a cruise, your ability will be limited. Below are the three major skating styles and the ideal wheels that are recommended.

Opening Terrain

Woodward Park City plans to open the Hot Laps Quad, Gateway surface lift and tubing park surface lifts for opening day. The Hot Laps Quad will service the Gully, containing a mostly corduroy surface, a few small contoured snow features, and a variety of small and medium jibs. The Gateway surface lift will service the Progression Park, a zone for beginner and first-time skiers and snowboarders. Additionally, Woodward’s 6 tubing lanes will open for the season.

Access and Ticket Products

Guests will find new ways to purchase access to Woodward Park City this season, including All Access Memberships, new outdoor Mountain Park memberships, and monthly All Access and Mountain Park passes. Memberships require a multi-month commitment and offer additional perks; passes do not require a multi-month commitment. Memberships and passes are currently available for purchase.

Woodward Park City access is also available through daily products, including tubing sessions, lift session tickets, and indoor sessions for the Action Sports Hub.

Woodward Park City will introduce lift sessions for the 2020-21 winter season. Lift sessions, available from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. to give more skiers and riders the ability to reserve lift sessions for the season. Lift session pricing starts at $29.

Advance purchase is recommended for the best access availability and pricing.

Woodward continues their mission of empowering the next generation of action sports athletes; in doing so will introduce new ski and snowboard instruction programs for the 20-21 winter season including small group ski and snowboard lessons to kids as young as four years old and “Four Then More” a beginner learn to ski or snowboard lesson program that allows beginning snowsports enthusiasts to learn to ski or snowboard with four lessons, rentals, and lift tickets.
