Goldenvoice just dropped an Instagram bombshell today, Monday, when it announced the lineup for the upcoming Once Upon a Time in the LBC concert in Long Beach.
Formerly called Summertime in the LBC, the show includes about 30 acts and is headlined by Long Beach native and hip hop superstar Snoop Dogg, who also headlined last year, along with YG and The Game performing his debut studio album “The Documentary.”
They’re joined at the show at the Queen Mary by DMX, Nipsey Hussle, Bone Thugs N-Harmony, Long Beach’s Warren G, Keith Sweat, Too Short, Ginuwine, Baby Bash, Lil Rob and the Mary Jane Girls plus others.
Snoop Dogg is also playing the Salute the Troops festival later this month, which recently announced its move from March Air Field Museum near Riverside to the Fox Theater and Glass House in Pomona. Those venues are operated by Goldenvoice.
The concert giant, which inked a deal with the Queen Mary to bring more mini music festivals to the ship and its adjacent park at the end of 2017, announced the major hip-hop show by just posting a picture of the flyer on its Instagram page around 2 p.m. Monday.
Last year’s Summertime in the LBC concert was one of the hottest tickets of the summer, with fans so eager to get to the music, some came up on boats.
Tickets for the July 27 concert start at $100 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at onceuponatimeinthelbc.com.
