So drive down the street and skate another park. It's fucking california... How bout help the people that need parks? Small towns like mine DESPERATELY need help. Where if you even step on a board on the sidewalk you get a citation and the park is totally whack. California probably has a park every 10 miles. So go fund me ;)

@_wellhell You know why there's so many parks in Cali? Skaters built them. Through either companies or DIY. You wanna skate a park? Rad. Fucking build one. Like Channel Street did. Get your hands dirty. Your park is whack? Bummer. Build what you want to skate. And then when the rich guys come fencing up your shit you can make a go fund me and lil assholes like you can come comment and bitch. Channel Street changed a shithole into a ripping park. That shouldn't be taken away by the city.

@graeson_leach the skaters of Manchester tn tried for years to get a park funded via petions and the city finally decided to fund one through the profit they made from @bonnaroo. The plans for the park looks absolutely tits, I don't remember the specs on the expenditures they claimed they were willing to put into it, but it ended up being quite a lot lower than expected, and nowhere near the way the plans looked.. The city used the money on the new jail and a fucking soccer field... Coincidentally, California skateparks did the build, but the workers must've been drunk when the poured it. Half of it is leftover concrete from a swimming pool that was torn down in the nineties. The park doesn't come close to any other park they've created. But yeah, we tried.

@graeson_leach I've built myself very nice box, a rail, and helped build a miniramp for the crew.. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment now and work and provide myself, so all those things are at friends houses rotting away. This is a small town I'm speaking of. 100% flat. We don't have the type of urban terrain Cali has, on which to modify to our liking. No rich people to provide help or property. Not enough skaters to provide help and hands to build our own park. No rob fucking dyrdek to give us a skate safe spot or plaza. I understand it sucks for these people, and I feel for them. But fuck man. They will figure it out, obviously. So they got away with their diy project for a good while before they got noticed? That's what I see. Good for them. It was a good run I'm sure. So I assume you've done a handful of diy projects then?
