DUSK Music Festival Tucson 2024 Recap

DUSK Music Festival Tucson 2024 Recap
Tucson, is a unique Southern Arizona city that makes a perfect home for the annual DUSK Music Festival. This festival brings together music and art lovers of all ages. Which allows families to enjoy their love of music together.
Set in the heart of downtown, music goers were able to enjoy music freely in the street surrounded by historic buildings. The venue had an easy flow that made transitions from one stage to the next seamless. The VIP areas in each section were made with comfort in mind. There was enough space to sprawl out but also be close to the action, making it perfect for families with younger children.
While walking through the venue festival goers had a wide variety of activities to choose from to occupy their time between sets. Activities included a Kandi making station, life-sized ping pong, and corn hole. If lawn games and Kandi weren’t your thing there was a Cobra Arcade pop-up that supplied the venue with a variety of classic arcade games.
True to Tucson style, this event was filled with a variety of local vendors. These vendors ranged from dispensaries to restaurants to retail shops and even the famous local social media outlet, Tucson Foodie. The dispensaries highlighted were D2 and Sol. Both offered coupons and unmedicated samples to respect the all ages event.
FatBoy Sandos and Dante’s Fire along with many food trucks made an appearance to keep the bellies of all appetites satisfied. Multiple 21+ vendors like Smirnoff, Don Julio and Big Sips provided Instagram worthy backgrounds, seating areas and unique drinks.
Unique art exhibits were sprawled throughout the event space that were both entertaining and mesmerizing. There were multiple life-sized portraits of the night’s artists that fans could pose with. A repurposed rail car was a mini artscape that attendees could walk through and experience multiple art pieces.
Of all the art exhibits though, perhaps the most surprising, was what was behind the porta potty door. Upon opening the large porta potty door, festival goers were greeted with a DJ, dance floor and bar instead of the traditional toilet and urinal.
For the main event, DUSK provided a wide variety of music genres that blended together perfectly. The vast lineup kept music planning from 3pm to 11pm each day. Each stage was curated to easily transition from the vibes of one music artist to the next.
Headbangers were able to unite at the Alameda stage and enjoy the likes of Peekaboo and Emforik. Each night EDM icons like Kaskade and Steve Aoki closed out the Presidio stage leaving concert goers happy they attended but sad it was over.
Over the years DUSK has been able to capture the spirit of Tucson and share it with locals and out-of-towners. By creating an all-ages event it allows for families to find safe and unique ways to spend time together as well as create lasting memories. This event has become a staple of Southern Arizona and has people counting down ‘til next year.
