Day MVS XL 2022 Recap

Fngrscrssd Presents: Day MVS XL took place this past weekend August 6-7 2022, at the beautiful Waterfront park located in the heart of sunny San Diego, California

Attendees from all over San Diego County gathered together to put an end to summer and enjoy a fun-filled weekend full of music, art, food, and of course the amazing San Diego weather down at the Waterfront!

The lineup absolutely did not disappoint! This year’s installment of Day MVS XL brought in the likes of German tech house sensation Claptone, England’s Duke Dumont, Sweden’s Eric Prydz, and many more diverse artists from all over the globe.

Venue & Production

As soon as we walked into the venue we were in awe of the layout. Something about a music festival on the San Diego waterfront just really adds to the vibration and makes for an incredible addition to the festival experience.

The first of the two stages usually known as “The Palms” did not disappoint. As artists took to the stage they were surrounded by what can only be described as a tropical jungle theme. This stage was predominately used for showcasing techno artists and minimal tech.  The structures around the stage had built-in LEDs and there was plenty of room for dancing.

The second of the two stages was the main stage. At the very Northside of the venue was a much larger stage which had room for a much larger crowd. The stage had two large LED screens to the right and left of the stage and several large LED panels surrounding the artist.

The weekend was definitely a scorcher, to say the least. However, DAY MVS XL provided free water stations, umbrellas and fans to purchase at the merch store which filled the crowd to beat the heat and keep the attendees grooving.

Food

There was a wide variety of food and alcohol options to keep everyone satisfied. Options range from lobster mac and cheese all the way to Tacos. Whatever you were in the mood for you were taken care of! I have to give a shout-out to “Spicy Pie”, for providing some of the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. The lines were always long but well worth the wait!

Final Thoughts

Shoutout to Fngrs Crssd for putting on one incredible event after another. This year’s installment of DAY MVS XL did not miss a beat!

My overall experience exceeded my expectations and the memories I made will be remembered forever.

We hope to see you at CRSSD Fall ’22 next month.

Wishing you a beautiful rest of the year filled with more festival memories to come!
