BottleRock Napa Valley 2026 Preview: Why This Year Feels Different
Every year, BottleRock Napa Valley feels like the unofficial start of summer, but this year, it feels bigger.
There’s something about being in Napa, surrounded by vineyards and golden light, where music, food, and wine all come together in a way that just feels elevated.
What I’m most looking forward to isn’t just one headliner or one moment. It’s the mix of everything and the energy that comes from being fully present in it.
Part of the magic of BottleRock is how effortlessly the days unfold. I’m excited for the in-between moments just as much as the big ones.
Wandering between stages, discovering a new favorite wine, or catching a set I didn’t plan for and ending up loving it. It’s not rushed. It’s curated chaos in the best way.
That said, there are a few artists I’m genuinely counting down to see.
First is Sombr, who feels like one of those artists you catch right before everything changes. There’s an intimacy to their sound that feels almost cinematic, emotional, a little moody, and incredibly immersive. Knowing Sombr is nominated for an American Music Awards this year adds to the excitement. It feels like watching someone step into a bigger moment, and getting to experience that live is something special.
Then there’s Teddy Swims. His voice alone is enough of a reason to show up early and stay close to the stage. There’s a rawness and soul in the way he performs that cuts through everything. It’s powerful without trying too hard. I’m excited for that moment where the crowd quiets down just enough to really hear him, and you can feel every lyric land.
And honestly, I can’t ignore the nostalgia factor. Backstreet Boys are going to be pure fun. There’s something about hearing songs you grew up with, surrounded by a crowd that knows every word, that just hits differently. It’s less about discovery and more about joy. Singing at the top of your lungs, laughing, and fully leaning into it.
What I’m really looking forward to is that shift between all of it. The emotional depth of one set, the high energy nostalgia of another, and the unexpected moments in between. BottleRock isn’t just about seeing artists. It’s about feeling something different with each one.
Somewhere between a glass of wine, a perfect song, and a sunset over Napa, I know there will be a moment where everything just clicks. And that’s the one I’m going for at BottleRock Napa Valley.
