ARC Music Festival 2026 Recap: Four Days of House, Techno and Chicago Energy

Festival Overview
ARC Music Festival returned to Union Park in Chicago from September 4 through September 7, 2026, marking a major change for the festival. For the first time, ARC expanded to four days over Labor Day weekend.
Fans can find more information at ARC Music Festival’s official website.
The 2026 edition gave ARC more room to explore house, techno, and the sounds surrounding both genres. The lineup stretched across four days and featured artists from different corners of electronic music, while still keeping Chicago house at the center of the festival’s identity.
That Chicago connection remained especially important. Local and Chicago-connected names on the lineup included Mike Dunn, Honey Dijon, Derrick Carter, Green Velvet, Lil Louis and Hiroko Yamamura.
Venue & Stage Production
Union Park once again served as ARC’s home, with programming spread across The Grid, Expansions, Area 909 and The Midway.
The Grid carried many of the weekend’s biggest names. Sara Landry, Chase & Status, Mau P, Cloonee, Underworld, Anyma, Honey Dijon, Michael Bibi and Green Velvet B2B Josh Baker were all part of the main stage programming.
Expansions leaned heavily into house and techno with artists including Chris Stussy, I Hate Models, Nico Moreno, Mochakk, Josh Baker and Vintage Culture B2B Damian Lazarus.
Area 909 offered another route through the lineup with sets from Joy Orbison B2B Ben UFO, The Blessed Madonna B2B Lil Louis, Brutalismus 3000 and Boys Noize B2B Hiroko Yamamura.
The Midway added another full stage of music with artists including MEDUZA B2B GENESI, Nicole Moudaber B2B Paco Osuna B2B Dubfire, Walker & Royce B2B VNSSA, OGUZ and KLOUD.
Top Highlights & Performances
Friday: Sara Landry, Chase & Status and Chris Stussy
Friday immediately showed how wide ARC’s musical range had become.
The Grid featured artists including Virago, INVT, Azzecca and KI/KI before Chase & Status brought drum and bass into the main stage mix. Sara Landry then closed out the stage with ETERNALISM.
Her appearance brought a harder techno direction to Friday night and stood apart from the house and bass-driven sounds heard earlier in the day.
Friday also featured several major B2B pairings. Joy Orbison B2B Ben UFO appeared on Area 909, while MEDUZA B2B GENESI took over The Midway. Chris Stussy was another major Friday booking, giving house fans a strong option elsewhere in Union Park.
Saturday: Chicago House Meets Hard Techno
Saturday showed just how different two parts of ARC could feel at the same time.
The Grid moved through artists including Odd Mob and Cloonee before Mau P took over later in the day.
Expansions went much harder. The stage featured Dax J, 999999999, I Hate Models and Nico Moreno, creating a strong techno-focused stretch for fans looking for heavier music.
Area 909 leaned into house music history. Superjane brought together DJ Heather, Colette, DJ Lady D and Dayhota. The Blessed Madonna B2B Lil Louis also stood out as one of the weekend’s most interesting combinations, especially with Lil Louis representing such an important part of Chicago house music.
The Midway offered another major collaborative set with Nicole Moudaber B2B Paco Osuna B2B Dubfire.
Sunday: Underworld, Anyma and Mochakk
Sunday delivered one of the weekend’s strongest runs of artists.
The Grid included Swimming Paul before Chris Avantgarde B2B Kevin de Vries. Underworld then brought decades of electronic music history to ARC before Anyma took over later in the evening.
That sequence gave fans two very different sides of electronic music on the same stage.
Expansions offered another strong alternative with Dennis Cruz B2B Ben Sterling, Beltran and Mochakk.
Area 909 pushed into another direction with Nia Archives B2B X CLUB., DJ Gigola B2B Skin On Skin and Brutalismus 3000.
The Midway also carried plenty of energy with Walker & Royce B2B VNSSA and After Midnight, featuring Matroda and San Pacho.
Monday: Chicago Takes Center Stage
Monday gave ARC another full day to close out its first four-day edition.
The Grid featured Derrick Carter, Honey Dijon, Michael Bibi and Green Velvet B2B Josh Baker.
That stretch put Chicago house directly in the spotlight while also bringing in some of the biggest names in modern house music.
Expansions finished the weekend with sets including ANNA B2B Traumer, Josh Baker, Carlita B2B WhoMadeWho and Vintage Culture B2B Damian Lazarus.
Area 909 featured DJ Heartstring B2B Baugruppe90 and Boys Noize B2B Hiroko Yamamura, while KLOUD appeared on The Midway.
Genre Diversity & Crowd Energy
ARC Music Festival is rooted in Chicago house, but the 2026 lineup showed how far the programming could stretch.
House fans could find Derrick Carter, Honey Dijon, Mike Dunn, Chris Stussy, Michael Bibi, Mau P, Mochakk and Josh Baker across the weekend.
Techno fans had Sara Landry, I Hate Models, Nico Moreno, 999999999, OGUZ and several other harder artists to choose from.
Chase & Status brought drum and bass into the lineup, while artists like Nia Archives, Joy Orbison and Ben UFO added more UK-influenced sounds.
That variety made ARC feel much broader than a festival built around one narrow style. Fans could move between house, techno, drum and bass, tech house and other electronic genres throughout the four days.
At the same time, ARC never lost its connection to Chicago. That mattered because house music was born in the city, and ARC continues to make that history part of the lineup instead of treating Chicago as simply the location.
Memorable Moments
One of the biggest stories of ARC 2026 was the four-day format itself.
Adding another full day gave the lineup much more room to breathe. Fans could explore multiple stages without every major artist being packed into a shorter weekend schedule.
Sara Landry bringing ETERNALISM to The Grid gave Friday a distinct centerpiece.
Sunday’s Underworld and Anyma sequence was another standout booking decision because it placed two very different generations of electronic music next to each other.
Chicago artists also played a major role throughout the weekend.
Virago appeared on Friday. Mike Dunn was part of Sunday’s lineup. Derrick Carter and Honey Dijon both performed Monday, while Lil Louis joined The Blessed Madonna on Saturday.
Green Velvet B2B Josh Baker also helped bring the final day to a close.
Those bookings reinforced what makes ARC different from many other major electronic music festivals. International artists are a huge part of the lineup, but Chicago’s own house music history remains visible throughout the weekend.
Final Thoughts & What’s Next
ARC Music Festival 2026 was a major chapter for the Chicago electronic music festival.
Four days gave fans more time to experience house, techno, drum and bass, tech house and other electronic sounds across Union Park.
The lineup was strongest when those different styles existed right next to each other. Underworld could share Sunday with Anyma. Derrick Carter could appear on the same day as Michael Bibi. Chase & Status could bring drum and bass to The Grid before Sara Landry pushed the night into harder techno.
ARC continues to make Chicago itself part of the festival’s musical identity. That connection to the birthplace of house music gives the festival something that is difficult to recreate anywhere else.
After four days at Union Park, we are already excited to see what ARC Music Festival brings back to Chicago next year.
